The other day I said to Rich, "Did you notice that the neighbors across the street are having new siding put up?"
Rich replied, "Hmmm."
So I said, "There's people over there ripping off the old siding. I wonder if they are going to get new insulation too."
Rich replied, "MmmmHmmm."
Later on, the very same day, Rich said to me, "Hey, did you see that the neighbors across the street are having new siding put on?"

That sounds JUST LIKE my hubby.
Maybe it's an illness they suffer from. "Selective Hearing".
Hah! Sounds like Jeremy, and we aren't even married yet!!!!! Funny how women can answer "hmm" but still HEAR what men are saying!!! :)
The hubby and I frequently have "conversations" like that although we are both equally guilty of doing it!

I do that with ideas all the time....Hey, we should get a pop-up camper. He says "hmmmmm". A few hours later, he's bidding and says "I think it's time we shoudl get a pop-up camper". I tell him it's a great idea!
Sounds like a lot of the conversations I have with my husband. He swears he is listening but I can usually tell later that he didn't hear a word I said! :)
