Oh a familiar sight. If not our Basset, then our Jack Russell. You have my sympathy ;-)

Hmmmm...and that is one of the many reasons we're holding off on getting a pet. We do enough cleanups with our kids. :-)

Oh and he looks so tired now ... I'm so glad I taught mine not to dig as soon as he started on the garden.

"But, Momma, it wasn't me! Honest! There was this big, BIG OTHER dog that came by and did it REALLY fast! And, Momma, I was asleep. Yeah! Fast asleep. And when I woke up, I found this!"

EHT said...

It's almost like washing your car and then it rains.....plant flowers and dogs dig. Hope you didn't punish Dottie too much. She's a lovely dog!

Oh bad, bad doggy. Mine did this all the time while she was a puppy. She doesn't do it anymore. What a great shot. Happy WW. :)

Detroit said...

Uh-oh! But maybe, just maybe he was trying to help make room for more flowers? lol

Katya said...

Since there is no such thing as a "bad DOG", I am convinced there was something in that flower bed that needed to be flushed (*pawed*?) out!!! REALLY!!!
Happy WW!!!!

My daughter has dug holes in our garden...fortunately I've caught her before they are that deep.

I think those eyes are saying " I'm so sorry, it seemed like a good idea at the time. It's dirt. I'm a dog. It's what I do."

Bad doggie! I am currently having rabbit problems, first he ate one of my tomato plants, then he ate my rose (probably the only one going to grow on the bush) and now he's eaten my gladiola's.

Sherry said...

And he doesn't look a bit sorry!

Rene Perez said...

Oh my goodness. That's my luck. Get the flower beds nice and pretty and along comes the neighbor's dog.. not even my dog, the neighbor's... to rip it all out.

Oh my gosh, I have that same bad dog! :) My beagle, Ellie Mae, could be seen at any given time tearin' it up! We are constantly finding mulch where it should not be!

Shaz said...

Oh Dear! We have a bad doggy here to sometimes but he doesn't dig up flowers he eats holes in walls! happy WW x x

Janae said...

This looks like a fun and relaxing place for doggie to be. Too bad he made a mess for you:(

Uh oh Dottie was not behaving! Just wanted to leave you a note to let you know I have started posting some more pics!!!!

Neila said...

And he looks so proud of himself!! Too cute!

wrchili said...

He looks exhausted from all that digging! It's a good thing he has one of those faces that it's impossible to stay mad at :)

Michelle said...

Awwww! That picture makes me miss our Beagle. I'm sorry your flowers were dug into.

dawnae said...

Oh so cute.... I love Beagles, had one when I was kid named April Sunshine. My mother was not fond of her because, she loved to chase cars, and she would get out of the yard, and run run run! (us kids really liked her though)

ps saw your weight loss post....you are doing fantastic. I have been dieting since December and have lost sixty or something like that. It is hard not to get too focused on the scale. It really helps me to focus on how I feel, and how my clothes are feeling. Nothing can bring on a binge like a + on the scale. thirty five pounds is wonderful! I am so proud of you, there is nothing harder than losing weight....other than maintaining it! :)

Unknown said...

I'm glad this wasn't wordless because observant me would not have noticed the digging. It looked like an innocent dog enjoying a beautiful day next to the beautiful flowers. :-)

JenLo said...

Our new dog is a digger too! That is new territory for us as our last one just chased things.

Anonymous said...

Looks like all the digging tuckered him out! Bad doggy...good photo op!

eph2810 said...

Maybe your doggy thought that you needed help to replant some flowers :)...I don't know what it is, but dogs just like to dig up flowers/veggies :) - we have the same problem.

Have a wonderful Thursday afternoon.

OOOOh Dear Cuz,
I was stressing over the cute bunnies eating our flowers!!!! Guess its true, someone else always has it worse than yourself! That is a cute picture though, like Dottie didn't want to leave the scene of the crime, and let someone else get credit for all the hard work she did! Take care cuz! Love, Vicki

Mel said...

"Did I do that???!!! It must have been that cat next door." Gotta love the "I didn't do it" doggy look!
