Did I Say That? #7

The other day while we were out shopping I noticed that Hailey was chewing on her shirt. So, I said, "No, Hailey don't chew on your shirt." Hailey stopped chewing, smiled nice and big at me and shook her head no.

A little while later she was chewing on her shirt again and I said, "Hailey, we do not eat our clothes. No." Then I noticed one of the store employees smiling quietly to himself and I thought, "Hmmmm, I guess that probably sounded odd."

LOL that is cute.. wait till you start potty training.. the did I say that blog post are going to be so funny. ;P
Yesterday I said " no we don't pee in the bath tub" Little Man had to pee and said "mommy pee" so I took his pants off he ran into the bathroom and instead of sitting on the potty chair he jumped in the bath tub and just started going. LOL

Well you were right, we do not eat our clothes, regardless of how odd it sounded! LOL :) Very funny!

I think Julia used to do that. She would scrunch up a bit of the material and put it in her mouth and bite on it. Then of course it was wet and yucky.
She seems to be fixed on the biting. At least it was not the store employees nose. :)

Melanie,
Now that's funny. That reminds me of a Reader's Digest "Kids Say the Funniest Things" entry, only it's Mom saying the funny thing:)

Parenting has us stringing together sentences that we thought we'd never utter... like "Please don't put your sandwich in the VCR" and "Toothpaste is not a toy".

The life of mom is filled with odd sayings and things only someone with kids or works with/spends time with kids will understand. We certainly do say the strangest things at times ;)

That's cute. I know how it feels to say No, only to find out a little later kid is doing it again. But Matt's a little conscious now with what he puts in his mouth..I'm more worried about the climbing activities he has now. :-)
