Did I Say That #9

I never thought I would hear myself say, "No, Hailey.
That is yucky. We do not suck on the grocery cart."

While I do have one of those covers that you use on the grocery carts and on high chairs in restaurants, I have this one and it does not cover the entire cart. It leaves the sides of the cart exposed. So, of course- Hailey always goes right for those disgusting sides. For some reason, she enjoys licking and sucking on the sides of the cart. And that is not something I had ever imagined anyone would want to do. Prior to having a toddler that is.

Have a wonderful weekend!

That's a good idea about the cover. We often considered buying one.

But "We do not suck on the grocery cart." - now THAT should be a bumper sticker!

Yep - once we have kids that are billions of things we have to worry about!

Thanks for coming over and leaving such a nice Anniversary wish. Take care and see you soon. Kellan

You will find you will saying a lot of things you never ever thought you would say!!! Karen always wanted to taste the rocks on the fireplace in the house we lived in at the time!! It's just how this goes with having little ones!! love and hugs, Grams You have a nice weekend!!

Oh yes, that shopping cart lick! I remember it well and I imagine we are in for it with Riley too! Sadly, I still find Ashyn licking things that make me wonder what in the world she is thinking! Kids and their mouths!

Kids will chew on anything, especially when they are teething. Grocery carts and those rides that are found in grocery stores and malls are pretty yucky.

I agree with Grams. You will be amazed at what you will be saying between now and the time your little one is grown. Cherish every minute with her.

Blessings,
Mary

Oh yes, they teach us so many things in so many ways. Like you say, it's just one of those things that we never imagined. Makes me realise what a cloistered creature I was before children.
Cheers

Kids are so funny. They will surprise you with the many different things they try. Good idea for the cover though. Have a good weekend and God Bless!

I'm sure by Hailey's teen years you will have an encyclopedia worth of "Did I Say Thats" and when you go back over them about half will be things you swore you would never say to your child and the other half will be things you totally cant BELEIVE you said to your child!
Blessings!

We are concern of our children's health, that is why we have to be more careful of what they are holding.

I remember when my daughter was 15-month-old, she loves to grabbed anything and put in her mouth, good thing her immune system is strong enough.

Hi Melanie! I was doing some blog surfing and checking in with everyone just to see if anything new was up (I know you have a no blog rule for the weekend, but I usually check in anyway just in case something BIG is up- wouldn't want to miss out!). I see you are uncertain today. I hope everything is okay- you know I am thinking of you!

Hah! I've said that many times myself. I never got one of those covers, but now that we're in the Middle East, I've sort of given up on keeping her from doing things like that. I'll keep a few antibacterial wet wipes in my diaper bag and wipe off the bars before she gets it in her mouth! That makes me feel better.

We really do say things that we normally don't say because of our kids. I do translate some big people talk to little kid talk for my angel.

This is a great idea for grocery carts. I will get one for my lil one :)

Happy weekend, Melanie!
