Fun Monday

This weeks Fun Monday is being hosted by Mariposa's Tales. Here is the assignment she gave us:

"I'll only be asking TWO things-
(1) Please share to us how the NAME of your BLOG was made? I can't wait to hear interesting funny stories!
(2) Please share to us (in words or photo, though a combination of both will be a bonus!) your favorite/ most common dish!"

Well, as for the first question- the name of my blog. When I first started blogging I actually used my last name as the name of my blog as I originally intended for my blog to just be a way to keep our family updated with what was going on with Brooke and Hailey. Over time I started to make new friends and gain lots of readers. I got worried about how open I was about where we lived and what our full names were. So, I decided to be a bit more anonymous. I don't have any spectacular story about where the name came from- it just popped into my head.

For part two- my favorite dish to eat would have to be anything that I do not have to make myself. If I'm not cooking, then I love whatever it is I am eating! My favorite place to go to eat is the Texas Roadhouse.

So, now go visit Mariposa's Tales to see the other Fun Monday participants.

I don't always like what other people make- I would rather cook my own meal!

You are so right...if someone else made it, it always tastes better. I have never eaten at Texas Roadhouse...I will have to try it!!

Oh, man - I am SO with you on the anything-I-don't-have-to-cook food!

Love Our Happy Happenings...so positive and that aura radiates! And you like to eat anything that you don't cook? Ha! ;)

Happy Fun Monday!

I LOve the roadhouse too! Nothing like getting full on peanuts and then eating a huge dinner! :)

Food made by someone else always tastes better, unless they can't cook.

Happy Happenings does the trick for you. No need to over-analyze. I second the "anything someone else cooks" recipe.

For me it was the same, my blog title just came in my mind, because I love writer's cramps, lol !
and for the food I am like you !

I know what you mean about the challenges and fears that come from not being very anonymous. If I had it to do over, I would go more anonymous.

I'm with you... anything I don't have to cook. I know you don't have to cook Sushi ... as Mariposa has posted .... but no thanks :)

I suspect most of our blog names just kind of happened, just like yours

Living in Belgium, I'm not familiar with the Texas Roadhouse, but I like to go out to eat too!
Although I really, really LOVE to cook myself, I even take pictures while I cook!
You look like a happy person too, so the name is very well chosen I think!

I don't like to cook either...Thank God hubby does or our children would starve! Jen

I like the name on yours mine still has the last name in it but I'm worried if I remove it people may not know where to find me...weird huh? Mines pretty easy to understand where it came from though.
I like to eat out also

I hate to cook too! And Texas Roadhouse rocks!

we've been to texas roadhouse once. it was pretty good. we had good company, though.. so its hard to tell if it was the company or the food.

Ya, I would be leery in the long run using a LAST name, for sure for sure.

And I SO AGREE with you about going out to eat. It's very difficult for having just two at home now, for me, that dining out makes more sense. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!!

My Fun Monday is up if you haven't dropped by...I hope you can visit!!!

Your blog name story is much shorter than mine....I wrote half of a novel about my name. I wish mine had been short.

I love Texas Roadhouse! Haven't been there in a long time even though there are tons of them around Atlanta. I need to visit again soo!

Do you know I have never been to Texas Roadhouse? Tonight is payday, though, so maybe....

I am soooo with you on your eating out philosophy. And stuff I cook? Hmmm, well, I think my family would be with you on the eating out thing too. ;)

Happy Happy Joy Joy - well can't recall ever eating at a "Texas Roadhouse" have how ever eaten at a road house in Texas. Personal note don't order the turkey fries if you don't know what they are. The fact that gibblets were on the menu should have been a warning.

I'll have to take your word about Texas Roadhouse~I am so in agreement about liking things cooked by anyone but myself! I'm going to visit my daughter next week so I will have a week of wonderful food, I'm so looking forward to it!

I've chosen not to be anonymous, but I have an entirely different situation. I understand your concerns.

About the food, call me up, maybe we can eat BBQ. Yum.

Carrie @carrieloves said...

I've had the same concerns, too - I still have my last name in the blog and am really considering changing it... I just don't know what to. Hmmm.

I'm just look'n at that Roadhouse sign. I'm so hungry...Has it been a long time since I've heard from you or is it my fogginess getting in the way from not eating in 5 days (fasting). Anyway, I see your pic and miss you. Hope you are well. God bless.

I think your blog name is awesome even if there's no thrilling namesake behind it. :)

And I'm sooo with you about my favorite dish being one I don't have to cook! lol
