Thursday Thirteen #5

My goal is to walk on my treadmill everyday. Yet, everyday when I make my way to the treadmill I get sidetracked. So, my list today is:

Thirteen Things I Do On My Way To My Treadmill:

1. Get my water bottle.
2. Clear off the kitchen table.
3. Throw a load of laundry in.
4. Organize the bills.
5. Go through the junk mail.
6. Let Dottie (the dog) outside.
7. Certainly I have some new comments on my blog by now, so I have to stop and check that.
8. While I'm on the computer I might as well check to see if any of my blogging friends have added a new post.
9. Leave a few comments on some other blogs.
10. Let Dottie back inside.
11. Add a few items to my grocery list.
12. Try to find my water bottle so I can finally get to the treadmill.
13. Stop to check on Hailey and see that she is awake from her nap so now I can't get on the treadmill.

Stop by Thursday Thirteen to see the list of other participants.

Life can be like a treadmill. I make excuses for that, too :-)

Have you seen the 2 mi an hour and work treadmill studies?? They did them at Mayo. Maybe you need to set up a treadmill work station to get it done! I've been doing Jillian Michaels "Making the cut" and really like it.

Happy TT!

My TT is about Art Candy.

We have an elliptical cross trainer, and I swear it will never get worn out because every time I think about it I can think of ten more worthy chores!

Jump on and enjoy; the laundry has a way of waiting!

I know exactly what you mean! I have been on my exercise bike about 20 times since I got it three years ago. I'm wondering if I should even take it with me when I move. I'm pretty sure I won't use it.

BTW I can vouch that all 13 were more important than getting onto the treadmill ;)

Cheers!

This one really hit home, Melanie! Amazing how I can always find things to do other than the thing I really need to be doing! Great list.

This was really funny!
My treadmill is buried under some stuff in the corner of the garage...I keep meaning to clear out that space...

Getting sidetracked can be a full time occupation! I've had problems going on bicycle rides because my mother cat and kittens all pile up and sleep in the bicycle basket. i can't bear to move them.

My TT is in honor of International Womens' Day on 8 March. Thirteen Famous (and not so famous) Women

Ha!

Sounds like me trying to get out the door to the gym!

Sounds like you don't really enjoy the treadmill. Maybe Hailey would like a daily stroller ride through the neighborhood. I have all sorts of excuses for not going outside for a walk - my best one is that a bear might get me. But that doesn't seem to keep the next door lady from walking.
