Since I am trying to lose some weight and I need to cut back on my snacking habit, I decided to make my list about things I can do instead of having a snack.
1. Take a walk.
2. Go to the mall- and avoid the food court.
3. Clean the house.
4. Run errands.
5. Pay the bills.
6. Work on my scrapbooking.
7. Plan a vacation.
8. Watch a movie.
9. Take Hailey to the park.
10. Call my mom.
11. Email a friend.
12. Do some blogging.
13. Make a list of 13 things to do instead of having a snack.

Sounds like a good list of activities. I spend time on the computer or call a girlfriend.
Good advice. Do they actually make the hunger go away?
I guess smoke a cigarette and have a glass of wine wouldn't qualify, right?
This is a bad week for me and snacking. Oh well....maybe next we I can use some of your ideas to do better!
Oh, my dear, that is a noble list but it doesn't sound like much of a draw when you need a snack! For me it's not the 'snack' that's the problem but the compulsive snacking and/or overeating. What about if you snack on guilt-free things so at least you get to chew - carrots, popcorn, olives (my favorite)

good list of options! I love watching movies, but I tend to eat when I'm watching tv, so that's not a good one for me!

Heheh. Had to laugh when you said you have to avoid the foodcourt. I also end up dropping by the foodcourt when I go to the mall -or grocery. But I just lost few pounds these past few weeks.
I'm getting to the point where I can't even have snacks in the house! It's getting pretty bad around here...this is a great list!!
I have been so bad with snacking. If I made a list of things to do instead of having a snack, the first item would be have two snacks.

This is good advice. I'm going to make that list right now because a carton of chocolate eggs is calling.

Great list sweetie.
I actually found that I want to snack more when I'm blogging so now I get a big glass of ice water before i sit down at the computer. It works wonders...especially since I don't like drinking water in the first place.
