Thursday Thirteen #8
Some days it seems that I am very easily annoyed~ of course Rich would probably tell you that is every day. But, anyhoo- today is one of those days when I am feeling annoyed with pretty much everything. And since I'm in such a rotten mood, I decided to make my list about 13 things that annoy me.
1. Having to put away the clean laundry.
2. When Dottie (the dog) crawls out from under my bed in the middle of the night (she started sleeping there shortly after Hailey learned how to walk- I wonder why)... Anyhoo- when Dottie comes out from under the bed in the middle of the night and has to shake and make the tags on her collar jingle so that she wakes me up.
3. People who do not wash their hands after using the bathroom. Yuck!
4. SPAM
5. Clutter
6. When the food on my plate touches each other. It must be kept separate.
7. Being late annoys me. I prefer to be on time, if not early.
8. Telemarketers who won't take no for an answer. I know people are just trying to make a living, that's why telemarketers in general don't annoy me. It's when I try to be nice and say "no thank you" and they just won't give up that I get annoyed.
9. I have this one friend who sends me at least ten forwarded emails every single day. I don't mind the occasional forwarded message, but at least ten everyday? That's too much. (And the person who does this does not read my blog- so if you send me forwarded messages I am not talking about you.)
10. People who want to argue about everything.
11. Going grocery shopping with Rich. I hate to go grocery shopping anyways and when he comes along it takes forever. He must compare the prices down to the penny of every product. And then he wanders off and I can never find him.
12. People who touch me when they talk to me.
13. The price of gas.

I've been watching my gmail spam. I know it's weird, but it cracks me up. Completely cracks me up. I mean really, does anyone actually buy that stuff??

I agree with you on some of that stuff but I can't say I really worry about #6!
The food touching each other sounds like my children. I'm teaching them to out grow it. Happy TT.
ooh girl - I am right there with you on almost everything. But I have to admit, I was already rollin' when you said "anyhoo" - lol - I'm not the only one!! :)
I am not nice to telemarketers. Fortunately the DO NOT Call List helps.

Dear Melanie;
First, get caller ID. Just don't answer the phone when tele-marketers call, or hang up on 'em.
Second, just wait until the dog gets into a howling contest with the local wolf population. It was summer, the window was open, the wolf was under my window, Chrissy was under the bed. I think they had to scrub me off the ceiling.

what is it about today? I'm in a mood myself.....this was a great list. I don't so much care about my food touching- but the rest would or do annoy me too!
We have a lot of the same pet peeves. When you say SPAM, do you mean that horrible luncheon meat like substance or junk mail? Happy TT

At our house it's called "food touching food". I guess I'll indulge my little one in this eccentricity a bit longer - she's only three!
Your list made me laugh. People that dont wash their hands are disgusting and anyone in my space when Im talking to them drives me nuts. Please, dont touch me unless I invite you in to my space...which isnt that often. Grocery shopping does suck but did you know, the food on your plate ends up twisted together in your stomach anyway? Whats the big deal?? You're gonna eat all of it, arent you? My boys will eat one thing at a time. They never take one bite of something and then bite something else. One thing must be finished before they move on. It drives me nuts. They got that from their father...lol. Happy TT.

I totally agree especially with #9. My mom, whom I taught how to use the computer, email... a number of years ago, is the #1 forward forwarder! She doesn't even read the forwards she gets, she just hits forward and sends them to me!

I don't like my food touching either - corn and potatoes DO NOT belong mixed together. My husband likes those "bowls" at KFC that have the mashed potatoes, corn, chicken all mixed up. Ew.

I'm a bit more easy going. I get annoyed at people who are not nice to others or think for some reason they are above someone else.

I once asked a friend why she doesn't wash her hands after using a public bathroom and she said, "I'd rather have my own germs on me then the person's who just shut off the faucet's. It did make me think, not that I agreed but definitely thought about it.

I agree with you on practically ALL of these! 6 is a huge pet peeve of mine, and my husband being a food mixer just doesn't get it. I didn't make green bean mashed potatoes. I made green beans AND mashed potatoes, and dang it that's what I wanna eat!

This is a pet-peeve kinda day! I agree with you on most of those...unfortunately, my daughter is the worse forwarder I know...trying to break her of that one!!

I really dislike it when people touch me when they talk to me. I agree with most of your pet peeves except maybe the food touching one. I don't care if my food touches.

My husband promised me that he loved doing the laundry when we were dating...not so much now. I don't mind doing it, but I agree that it's really annoying to put away!

# 3 is one that really gets to m!!! I was in the bathroom at mcD's the other day when a little girl came out of the stall and started over to the faucet to wash her hands when her grandmother (I assume) shooshed her away to the car while saying "your mother has soap in the car"
Not that I have anything against the hand sanitizers, BUT if you can wash your hands, that would be MY preferred method! I am not a betting person, but I doubt that child thought about asking her mother for anything to clean her hands with once she got back to the car..............
Ok, 1, 3, 10, 12, and 13 are pet peeves of mine. Don't care for spam either. I think not washing your hands after using the bathroom is just plain gross.

I so get #6. When I was little my Dad would try to bother me by making my food touch and would always try to rationalize that it all gets mixed together in your stomach.
I have to say this...but please don't get mad...and don't chastise me... #11 made me laugh out loud! Rich is so like dear husband! He takes time on deciding whether to buy this or that because he has to compare down to the last cent!
(Now if Rich is reading this, he'd be mad at me)
Apart from that, I love grocery trips-it's like a big classroom for Matt.
Fantastic list except I love to put away clean laundry - I just hate folding it to begin with.
