Thankful Thursday #6

It has been far too long since I have participated in Thankful Thursday. So, I decided I should do a thankful post this week.

1. I am thankful that my cousin Beka delivered a healthy baby girl, Anika last week.

2. I do not believe I have mentioned my love for the Veggie Tales on my blog yet. But I do love the Veggie Tales. The other day while driving down the highway I was listening to the Veggie Tales- turned up nice and loud and singing along. While I could tell you that it was all for Hailey's benefit, that would be lie because she was sound asleep in the back seat. So, what does this have to do with being thankful you may be wondering. Well, as I was having such a good time singing along I did not notice that my speedometer had been climbing and climbing well over the speed limit. So, I am thankful there weren't any police around at the time.

3. I am thankful for the MOMS group Hailey and I just joined. We are also part of a MOPS group, which I love- but we only meet once every other week. So, I was looking for something more and found MOMS. There are monthly meetings, a monthly moms night out, a monthly lunch for moms and children, monthly field trips, weekly play groups, weekly walks at the mall or park, and so much more. So, there will be a lot more for us to do with this group and I am excited!

4. I am thankful that Thanksgiving is next week. I love Thanksgiving and have been looking forward to it. We spend Thanksgiving at my parent's house and get to enjoy some time with family. And of course- I do love the food at Thanksgiving time and I will not be worrying about my diet- not even a little bit. My mom hasn't told me what she wants me to make this year, but I'm sure she'll at least want me to make my lovely pumpkin cheesecake that I shared with all of you earlier this week. Rich's family also lives in the same area as my parents, so we will get to see them as well. And of course, we always start our Christmas shopping at Thanksgiving time (I've actually already started mine). I'm not sure how shopping will go this year having a toddler in tow, but I'm sure it will be fun because it will be with family.

And so that is my list for this week. For more Thankful Thursday visit Crystal at God is in Control.

I'm glad I'm not the only mom who enjoys veggie tales as much as her kids! :) And I know what you are talking about the speedometer. It climbs so quickly sometimes!

God Bless!

Love veggie tails.. my girls never seem to really get big time into it they liked to watch it and sing along but they didn't have a favorite
Where Mr Man got really into it.. and Loved Larry.. and when he was almost 4 years old was big time into Larry Boy and went as Larry boy for Halloween that year and then had a Larry boy birthday party.
Little Man is loving Veggie Tails right now.. but he is a Bob fan.. and he doesn't call Veggie Tails, Veggie tails he calls it "Bob matoe" LOL so cute.

I would LOVE for you to make your pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving!! Until I read the idea on your blog - it had not crossed my mind - but now I am quite excited about it.

I love the Veggie Tales, too! We used to have movie night at college and we would pop in a veggie tales movie. It was always a blast! I'm not going to worry about dieting on Thankgiving, either. That would be silly of me because I would just eat whatever I wanted anyway and then feel bad about it. Soooo, If I'm not worrying about it I wont feel guilty:)

I love veggie tails too. I haven't watched or listened to it in a few years now since I've been exiled and my grands have outgrown it. I used to keep songs in my head and go around singing all the time.
I'm glad you'll be able to visit family and the Mom group sounds super.
Thanks for coming back!

I love Veggie Tales too! I find they are the least annoying kid's show that there is!! Unfortunately, Joelle has decided to move beyond Veggie Tales and Malia doesn't know nay better, so she just goes along with her big sister.

I miss Bob and Larry...

I enjoy Veggie Tales too! Wait until Hailey is old enough to watch the shows and you realize you are intently watching as well! I also have learned a few lessons from their stories! What a a great list you have. I am glad you found the MOMS group...sounds super fun. I wish I had something like that--connecting with people is so helpful when you are raising children! Can't wait to hear some stories from the fun times you have!

Spending time with family members is also something I always look forward to - be it for some occasion or not. I'm sure you all will have a great time at your parent's place at Thanksgiving. BTW, the driving ( plus singing with Veggie Tales) is making me smile. :D.

Melanie,

A great list to be thankful for. I enjoyed reading it.

Did you know there's been a study done about driving and music. The faster the beat of the music, the faster you drive. (According to the research.)

Blessings,
Mary
