I always try to do this. Great advice, but it makes you wonder why? Have a great WW. :)

I saw a news program on this and how they are not having a very easy time getting the meaning of our words and phrases just right. Some of the things they were putting on signs was just hilarious.

Too funny! We saw a lot of weird signs like that in China.

Happy WW.

HAHAHAHA!!! I love these! Being a writer working on translation at the moment, these kinds of things always make me laugh. The 1st rule of translation is have a NATIVE speaker do the translating ;-)

Thanks for the warning!! LOL!

RYC--I have been sending the responses to their emails for about a week and have not had any kicked back yet because of a bad email address.Don't know if they are reading them -but someone is getting them. :)
Right after I posted the post I got one from a lady who said she was a Christian and wove all kind of scripture into her email. That makes me angry. That she would speak a lie and use our Gods name in her email. Grrrrr!

We have a book that translates common English phrases into other languages. It is hilarious. Got Milk? Translates in Chinese to "are you lactating?"

Haha, I need to get me one of those for my front steps!!

LOL! Sometimes signs they put up are such oxymorons! Great post.
